General business conditions

Placing an order

You need to be registered to place an order for any product. The subject of the order can be either PortaBook product, its component (licence, generator, editor) or a generated book, which is published by means of the portal www.portabook.sk.

By means of the portal PortaBook it is possible to place an order:

  • by adding to cart online

  • via e-mail to the address given in contacts – in the order form please define the ordered goods, number of items, registration name of a customer, correct address and phone number

The archive of orders is available to every registered user of the portal. As soon as the order form is sent, the customer is notified by e-mail.

Seller’s obligation

In case of ordering a book by means of the PortaBook portal:

  • We are responsible for:

    • Kind and amount of the goods in the cost price and under payment conditions which are valid as soon as the order form is sent.

    • The goods that meet the norms, regulations and orders valid in the Slovak Republic.

  • We are not responsible for:

    • Contents of a book officially published by the publisher or the author

    • Potential delivery failure, which was caused through a fault of the publisher or the author, due to any kind of restriction or cancellation of the distribution rights and other unpredictable difficulties.

In case you are interested in placing an order of the PortaBook product or its component, valid licence conditions are contained on the product web page.

Purchaser’s obligation

The purchaser is obliged to pay for the goods the cost price corresponding to the payment conditions valid on the day of sending the order form.

Prices

The prices given in the PortaBook portal are valid at the time of ordering the goods. We reserve the right to have misprints and to change the prices according to the exchange rates when there is considerable increase of inflation or there are considerable changes of supplier conditions from the producers and other goods’ suppliers. The sale certificate is an invoice that serves as a warranty and delivery certificate as well. The invoice is automatically sent to the customer’s email and in case of requesting, it can be sent also by post.

Available way of payment

For the ordered goods via PortaBook portal, it is possible to pay:

  • electronically (PayPal, TatraPay)

  • by means of invoice advance (only firms and organizations)

Goods delivery

After proper payment within the order, automatic access to download the goods is available on web pages of the PortaBook portal. Once having downloaded the goods, the customer confirms that he paid and it is not possible to ask for returning money afterwards.

Lapse of the order

In case you want to lapse your order for any kind of reason, please contact us right away after sending your order form by means of any contact in the contact section of the PortaBook portal. In case we cancel your order, we will inform you instantly. In case you already paid for your order but have not downloaded the goods yet, we will return the money within 7 days at the latest to the account of which your payment had been carried out.

Registration and personal data protection

By the registration on the PortaBook portal, you give the permission to assemble and use information relating to you and your purchase under upper given conditions. Being registered as a customer or a person requesting for information about the news and further forms of registration, you automatically approve of being informed about the news in our Internet shop via e- mail, post or telephone. If you do not approve of being informed constantly, you can cancel sending out of the information anytime according to an order given in every sent e-mail.

We protect the assembled data from the misapplication. All currently proposed forms of electronic banking (paying for the goods on the Internet) are carried out directly on web pages of your bank, that provides us with only the information relating to correct payment or its failure, your name, account number (so we could identify the payment and return the money if needed). We do not sell, rent out nor do we provide the data database for the third party. The provider is able to provide the third party or public with summary statistic information relating to customers, attendances, turnover and other data, but it is not possible to identify particular customers by using that information.

Claim and guarantee

The PortaBook product is under the guarantee that is covered by the licence conditions described on the portal’s pages. Provider of the portal guarantees validity and credibility of the delivered subject’s electronic contents.

Claims procedure:

  1. After the downloading, try out the delivered subject:

    1. By installing in case of the PortaBook product or its component.

    2. By having a flick through by means of supported browsers in case of a book

  2. If it is not possible to open the subject of delivery, nor to try it out, please contact us by means of the information given in the contacts section

  3. Send the reclaimed subject of delivery with invoice by e-mail to our address.

The claims act starts on the day when the seller receives the reclaimed goods and it ends on the day of sending a proper claim to the purchaser. We decide whether the claim is legitimate within 3 days from receiving the reclaimed goods at the latest. You will be notified of the result by e-mail or telephonically. Legitimate claim, including elimination of the error will be provided immediately at our own expense, within 30 calendar days since the first day of the claims act. In case the claim is not considered to be legitimate, the goods will be sent back to the purchaser with a relevant attitude.
